Click for more Silver Eagle coverageGallatin, Tennessee, is a hot spot for new and expanding businesses, with strong front office, manufacturing and distribution, commercial and retail, and residential opportunities and amenities. Gallatin continues to demonstrate that while every city and EDO claims to understand and meet the needs of business and industry, we truly get it.  This claim has been backed in recent months with several initiatives, including:

  • A 207-acre expansion of the Gallatin Industrial Center
  • Two new incentive programs (TIF and PILOT)
  • Educate and Grow Sumner County Program, providing free tuition to Volunteer State Community College for qualifying high school graduates
  • The ongoing growth of GEAR – Gallatin Expansion and Retention Program – to better serve our existing industries
  • Road, technology, and airport infrastructure improvements

The past three years have been especially good to Gallatin, with Silver Eagle Bus Manufacturing announcing their relocation from Brownsville, TX in June, 2009, Alliance Distribution Partners beginning operations in January, and companies such as Samick Music Corporation and Shoals Technologies Group relocating their corporate headquarters to our community.  Samick also is manufacturing pianos here, joining GF Puhl and Superior Inspections as companies that have recently opened production facilities here.

Gallatin Gets It!

Existing industries – supported by Gallatin’s GEAR program – have also thrived with companies such as Servpro Industries, Associated Packaging, Charles C. Parks Company, (all of which are headquartered here) and ITW-CIP receiving recognition for their growth and advanced manufacturing practices.  Read more about our incredible companies and GEAR program by clicking here.

In late 2007, Free Will Baptist Bible College announced plans to relocate its downtown ServproNashville campus to Gallatin.  This four-year school will surely enhance our community’s outstanding reputation for education at all levels, anchored by an incredible primary school system, private school opportunities, state-of-the-art technical training facilities, and Volunteer State Community College.

Gallatin is home to some 25,000 residents, a number expected to grow to about 28,000 by 2010.  Part of the Nashville MSA, Gallatin is just a 25 minute drive from downtown Music City.  Our easy access to Interstates 65, 40, and 24, along with our proximity to the Nashville International Airport and having our own Sumner County Regional Airport, give Gallatin easy accessibility to the world.

Middle Tennessee is perhaps the nation’s hottest spot for corporate relocations and expansions and Gallatin is a leading community in the region for proactively continuing to do the right things for business and industry and looking to find new ways of enhancing our pro-business environment.  When it comes to doing all that is needed to create a favorable business climate, Gallatin Gets It!
