About Us

EDA Mission Statement

To ensure Gallatin’s prosperity by serving as its catalyst for economic growth through leadership, aggressive marketing, local, regional and state partnerships, education, and professionalism.

The City of Gallatin Economic Development Agency is the business recruitment, retention, and expansion organization for our community. Our staff is guided by a five-person Board of Directors who shape the EDA's strategies and work plan as we strive to create job opportunities and investment for our city.

The EDA is the contact for the City of Gallatin for all business and industry prospects. As part of the Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), much of our work revolves around regional partnerships. In working with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, the Nashville Chamber of Commerce's Partnership 2010, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and other regional groups, we focus on our target industries of corporate and regional headquarters, data centers, call centers, light manufacturing, front office projects, and retail development.

Our Gallatin Expansion and Retention (GEAR) Program serves our city's major employers as a networking forum among industries and a means to relay what we at the EDA can do to provide "service after the sale" for our existing companies. This group of managers and human resource directors meets about quarterly, rotating venues among companies.

The EDA works in concert with private developers from all sectors as our tremendous residential growth provides more and more retail, front office, and various service industry opportunities.

The EDA also works with Gallatin's Industrial Development Board to develop and market industrial property.

With a growing population and booming economy, the Gallatin Economic Development Agency continues to lead the city's aggressive efforts to generate quality investment in our community and provide quality employment opportunities for our citizens.
