Target Industries

The Gallatin Economic Development Agency staff and Board of Directors have assessed the strengths and needs of their community and region and identified five main industry sectors to target for recruitment. With an educated, independent workforce with a reputation for a strong work ethic, typical throughout the southeast, the EDA proactively markets to white and blue collar segments as well as attracting commercial and retail projects.

Inexpensive, reliable electricity, top flight vocational training facilities and Volunteer State Community College, easy access to interstates 65, 40, and 24, proximity to Nashville, a regional airport just two dozen miles from Nashville International Airport, and one of the south's fastest growing communities have lead the EDA to focus on the following areas:

• Corporate/Regional Headquarters
• Call Centers
• Data Centers
• Light Manufacturing
• "Green" Companies
• Retail

While the EDA focuses most of its marketing materials and energy on those sectors, the staff has also worked many other manufacturing projects, primarily those in the automotive and plastics fields. The EDA welcomes requests for information from all front and back office and manufacturing and distribution projects.
