Sumner Regional Medical Center

Gallatin boasts one of the most successfully competitive health care facilities in Middle Tennessee. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations recognized Sumner Regional Health Systems as one of the top 10% of hospitals in the country. The Tennessee Quality Award Program has presented its prestigious Tennessee Quality Commitment Award to SRHS. A 155 bed center, SRMC has all the primary services available at any hospital...and more. A fully staffed emergency department is equipped to handle most any major trauma or cardiac problem 24 hours a day. LIFEFLIGHT to Vanderbilt is provided on the medical center grounds.

Services and Programs

Sumner Regional Health Systems has begun building the new Sumner Healthplex and Wellness Center on Big Station Camp Creek Road. The 112,000-square-foot facility will contain a fully equipped fitness/wellness center, primary and specialty medical offices, outpatient rehabilitation, an outpatient diagnostic center and cardiac rehabilitation.

The new Sumner Healthplex and Wellness Center will be the only medically-based health and fitness complex in the area. We hope to break ground before the end of 2007. Once ground is broken, the project will take approximately 12 to 14 months to complete.

Sumner Regional Health Systems' decision to make a substantial investment in this project was born out of a desire to be among the leaders in a national trend that emphasizes wellness and prevention first and foremost. The goal of this project is to keep people healthy and provide a full-scale wellness approach to healthcare in our community.
